Are you...Frozen?

Okay, so I'll try my best to act like an average teenage girl who absolutely LOVES Disney...I'll keep it together...act professional...BUT I CAN'T!

I have been waiting for this movie ever since I got news that it was coming out! (Since the beginning of 2013)

If you don't already know the story, let me give you a brief synopsis:

Anna and Elsa, two sisters who have grown-up with an invisible barrier between them. Why? Elsa (Idina Menzel) was born with the power to control ice and snow, and the last thing she wants to happen is to hurt her younger sister Anna (Kristen Bell). During her coronation, Elsa flees for accidently summoning her powers and displaying them to her subjects; by doing so, Elsa creates an eternal winter on the Kingdom of Erendel. In an attempt to find Elsa, Anna sides with the mountain Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), his reindeer Sven, and the cuddly, but dimwitted snowman Olaf (Josh Gad). Will Anna reunite with her sister and end the horrid winter? Well, you might have to become a bit Frozen to find out.

I've heard a few of the songs from the movie, and they are amazing! I have this feeling that its going to be a new Disney classic!

What do you think of Frozen? Will it be a new Disney hit? Who do you think will be your favorite character?

Catching Fire Review: I know it's late!

Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawerence) believed it was over when she stepped out of the Hunger Games arena, she was wrong. Everyday she is haunted by the tragic scenes of those she had killed and those who she saw die in front of her; all Katniss wants now is for her life to return back to the way it was, but how could that happen when she is now the new beacon of hope during a time when fear is desired?

In a race to end the "hopeful" image, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) along with the new game keeper (Philip Seymour-Hoffman) announce the 3rd Quarter Quill games; similar to the Hunger Games, but the "players" would be fellow Hunger Games champions. Having no choice, Katniss must play in the Quarter Quill games along with Peeta; the two must find a way to create alliances or Katniss, the symbol of hope, will be obliterated.

My thoughts:

Going into the movie theatre, I had my doubts on whether Catching Fire would be good or not. I would not call myself a Hunger Gamer (that's what I call Hunger Games trilogy fans) nor am I on Team Gale or Team Peeta...yeah, we already had that whole "team" thing with vampires and werewolves, lets not do that again.

With the first movie, I felt as if the actors were "testing the waters" so to speak. They knew the characters but they did not know how to act like the beloved characters. Of course, the first movie is primarily set in the arena; complete opposite with Catching Fire. A good portion of the film is set before the Quarter Quill games. Peeta and Katniss go to different districts, you see people die, more districts, more rebellious people, Effie cries, Katniss cries, Katniss make out with Gale and Peeta, etc. But that's part of the reason why the movie was enjoyable, it wasn't at all like,

-Katniss Everdeen is the main character
-She volunteers
-Now she is in the Hunger Games fighting for her life

Another part of the film that was beautiful, and probably A LOT of critic noticed this...NO SHAKY CAM!!! They finally realized you don't need the cameraman to be running when a main character is sprinting! Shaky Cam is one of my biggest pet peeves in a movie; it was everywhere in Hunger Games but not once in Catching Fire...beautiful.

The CGI, I thought, was better than the first movie. In the last few scenes of the Hunger Games there are the weird hybrid dog things, well I know they were so supposed to look ugly, but the animation was not very pleasant. NOT A SPOILER but there are baboons in Catching Fire and they looked very convincing (that's all I'm going to say).

All in all, I surprisingly loved Catching Fire. There were times when I was face-palming myself, I was whispering to Katniss on what to do next; I was on the edge of my seat!

I give Catching Fire a...Nominee & DVD.

So have you seen Catching Fire? What did you think? What was your favorite scene?

I'm seeing...and updating

Okay, so tonight's the night! I'm going to see....(dramatic pause) Catching Fire!

Fellow high schoolers who were crazy enough to see the screening at midnight last night, have said it was good or awesome or really good; I'll be the judge of that.

I'm hoping to publish a video to my channel on YouTube tomorrow; but I will be also writing the review as well and putting it here. But if you want to see my many expressions and crazy gestures, you would probably enjoy the video.

Now for the "update" part of the blog, here are some movies coming out next week:

-Frozen (super SUPER excited)
-Black Nativity

I'll give the full details of those movies later this weekend.

Have a movie that I should review? Leave a comment!

Special Delivery, man.

Do you know what also is coming out tomorrow? Delivery Man! I totally forgot about that!

Whoever did the advertising for that movie did a lousy job...it's coming out the same day as CATCHING FIRE! NOT SMART AT ALL! What was their strategy? "Hey guys we should open Delivery Man the exact same night Catching Fire releases because maybe those millions of teens would much rather watch a film about a 40-something year old man who has..." I'm going off on a rant.

Let me give you the scoop.

Delivery Man stars Vince Vaughn as David, a typical meat delivery truck driver who finds out he has "fathered" 533 children because of a mix-up at a feterlity clinic. He journeys off and tries his best to help his 533 kids; in an attempt to change, not only their lives, but his as well.

Seems like a "heart-felt" story, which will probably end up having the typical Vince Vaughn humor (new example: The Internship).

But what do you think? Will you see or flee? Leave comments below!

Catching Fire: Will you see or flee?

Catching Fire, who is excited? I will be honest, I was not a fan of the first movie...let me explain! I read the book (no I'm not the "a-movie-cannot-be-better-than-the-book" type of person) and I had my own vision of how the it all went down. I actually saw the movie this past summer (2013) with a friend; she had memorized the whole movie. THE WHOLE MOVIE!

Don't get me wrong, I adore Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook...amazing!), I think the whole cast is great, but it could be better.

There were time in the Hunger Games where there was a ton of action, I was on the edge of my seat; then there was nothing going on and Katniss was strolling around the forest or was sleeping in a tree or waiting for the little presents to fall from the sky...not that exciting.

I did not finish the second book; I didn't even reach the half-way point, nothing was happening. My Hunger-Games-Trilogy-Loving friends have told me that it gets intense and Prim does something and Katniss kisses So-and-So...blah-blah-blah.

From what I have seen of the trailer, Katniss seems to be having little sister, guy, and President Snow problems...apparently Snow wants to off her...that escalated quickly. There are riots going on and now everyone is looking up to Katniss Everdeen, the Girl on Fire! (Stanley Tucci as Caesar, love it!)

What are your thoughts on Catching Fire? Do you think it will be better or worse than Hunger Games? Will you see or flee?

Leave a comment below, I'm hoping to see the movie tomorrow and post my review ASAP.

And in the words of Katniss Everdeen, "May the odds be ever in your favor."

Hello to all who have an interest in my blog!

I just want to give a quick summary of what this blog is all about.

First off, I love...no...I am obsessed with movies; I am on IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes or any other movie reviewing website 24/7. I take pride in knowing what movies will be coming out, a year in advance, and telling others about it...most of the time, they could care less.

The solution?

I will make a blog for all the teenage-movie junkies out on the internet to enjoy!

I know there are quite a few movie reviewers on YouTube and Blogger, but I wanted to do something different. I want fellow teens to read/watch reviews from a fellow teen critique! So now that you know the reason to my blog, you may ask yourself, how will she rate her movies? I am glad you asked!

(From Best to Worst)
1) Aclaudiamy Award (My name mixed with Academy Award...I'm so creative.)
2) Nominee!...and DVD.
3)Shrug and Share
4) Wait for the Red Box
5) Time is Precious...don't waste it.

Alrighty, there you have it. I will soon be writing more posts and videos. Share my blog with your fellow movie-loving friends if you want!

And in the famous lines of the Terminator..."I'll be Back!" with more updates.
